KLC Financial, Inc. announced Shannon Smith, CLFP, has been promoted to Chief Credit Officer.
Smith started with KLC Financial in 2008 as Credit Manager. He has worked his way up, most recently as Vice President of Credit and Operations in which he oversees the credit, funding and operations side of the business.
This will continue to be his primary role and will have expanded responsibilities in further establishing the company’s credit underwriting and philosophy, corporate management, business strategy and direction.
“Over the past 11+ years, Shannon has led and developed the KLC credit and funding team, process and strategy. In addition to his credit and funding responsibilities, Shannon has been instrumental in the growth, management and success of KLC Financial. We look forward to many strides and successes in (his) new position,” said Spencer Thomas, President of KLC Financial.
Smith graduated from St John’s University in May 2002 with a B.A. degree majoring in accounting.

The company also congratulated Randy Petersen, CLFP, and Jena Morgan, CLFP, on their accomplishment of passing the CLFP exam. KLC Financial now has 11 Certified Lease & Finance Professional.
