Encina Equipment Finance, LLC (EEF) announced Wren Rex has joined the company as Managing Director of Business Development for the Northeast Region. She is based out of the company’s new headquarters in Westport, CT, and reports to Rick Matte, EEF’s President and Chief Commercial Officer.
Rex joins EEF from Prudential Capital Group, where she spent the past three years as an Originator in the firm’s Commercial Asset Finance division that is focused on fixed-asset lending. Previously, she spent approximately 20 years across multiple business units at the General Electric Company and GE Capital, during which time she held various roles in GE Asset Management, GE Financial Assurance and, most recently, GE Capital’s Equipment Finance group.
Launched in June 2017, Encina Equipment Finance provides loans and leases ranging in size from $5 million to $50 million and secured by essential-use machinery and equipment. The platform provides financing to both privately-owned (sponsor and non-sponsor) and publicly-traded companies across a wide range of collateral types, industries (including, but not limited to, construction, distribution, energy, food processing, healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, mining, paper & packaging, and transportation) and use cases (including loans against existing or newly acquired assets, leases of newly acquired assets and sale-leasebacks of existing assets).
