Lease Corporation International, the aviation division of the Libra Group, announced the long-term extension of the lease of one of its Boeing 747-400 freighters to ACT Airlines.
“We’re delighted to be extending our longstanding partnership with ACT Airlines to support its successful freighter operation,” said Crispin Maunder, Executive Chairman of LCI. “LCI has a proven track record in placing high-quality dedicated freighters on lease to airlines across the globe as part of its long-held commitment to maintaining a diverse and balanced fleet and lessee portfolio.”
The Boeing 747-400 is a proven and versatile cargo aircraft, and a popular part of LCI’s fleet in the current strong air cargo market.
ACT Airlines, a Turkish wet-lease operator, was founded in 2004, and now operates a fleet of five B747-400F/ERF aircraft for its own operations as well as on behalf of other airlines.
Daglar Cizmeci, Chairman and CEO of ACT Airlines, said: “We are pleased to be deepening our longstanding partnership with this lease extension to support the expansion of our global freighter operation. We look forward to further collaboration with the LCI team in the months to come.”
LCI’s current fleet is comprised of factory-built Boeing 747-400F freighters and the latest technology medium and super medium helicopters from leading manufacturers including Leonardo, Airbus and Sikorsky. In addition, LCI is a launch customer for the Bombardier CSeries.
