The Certified Lease & Finance Professional (CLFP) Foundation has scheduled the first three Academies for Lease & Finance Professionals (ALFP) for 2018.  The ALFP is a three-day event designed to fully prepare an individual to sit for the CLFP exam assuming that the candidate has read and studied The Certified Lease & Finance Professionals’ Handbook prior to attending the class.  During the first two days, all of the required sections of the CLFP exam are covered in-depth and on the third day, the exam is offered, but not mandatory.

The first scheduled ALFP will be held in Irvine, CA on May 3rd – 5th and is hosted by First Foundation Bank.  The second Academy will be hosted by Arvest Equipment Finance and held in Kansas City, KS on May 17th – 19th.  Finally, there will be an ALFP in Cincinnati, OH hosted by Great American Insurance on August 16th – 18th.

Last year, the CLFP Foundation partnered with twelve different equipment finance companies to organize eight different Academies.  Of the 133 CLFPs that were added to the membership last year, 102 attended an Academy.

The CLFP designation identifies an individual as a knowledgeable professional to employers, clients, customers, and peers in the equipment finance industry. There are currently 521 Certified Lease & Finance Professionals and Associates throughout the world.
