Wintrust Commercial Finance (WCF), a part of Wintrust Financial, announced that Brian Derusha has joined the division’s Asset Management Department as senior vice president.
“Many of us at Wintrust Commercial Finance have worked with Brian in previous roles and are excited about him joining the group,” said WCF President & CEO Kirk Phillips. “Brian’s experience and expertise will greatly add to our strong asset management department, making it one of the best in the industry. I can’t think of too many other institutions of our size that have the breadth and depth of expertise in almost all equipment asset classes and across a variety of financial products. This will continue to enhance our ability to execute on our growth strategy.”
Derusha has more than 30 years of experience in all phases of asset management, having held positions of increasing responsibility at Fleet Capital Leasing, Transamerica Financial Services, AIG Commercial Asset Finance and, most recently, AIG Investments. He’s been an active participant with the Equipment Finance and Leasing Association, with positions on the executive asset management committee and as a presenter and contributor at industry conferences and periodicals. He holds a management degree from North Adams State College, also known as Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
