Patricia M. Voorhees, a director with The Alta Group, is presenting at this year’s LendIT USA 3:10 p.m. March 7 at the Javits Center in New York City to highlight new trends in equipment leasing and finance for a Fintech audience estimated to reach more than 5,000 attendees.
Fintech and equipment finance executives may consider forming alliances given their mutual goals of providing financial services with advanced technology applications. The strength of the equipment leasing and asset finance industry and how it differs from the small business loan market will be noted in Voorhees’ presentation, as well as the growing need for more sophisticated manufacturing dealer and vendor point-of-sale service portals.
Key trends that Voorhees will cite include the shift in more originations going from direct sources to vendor and captive organizations in the U.S. and the emerging interest in providing managed solutions to bundle equipment, software and services in new lease agreement structures. Voorhees also will discuss opportunities for Fintech companies to enter into equipment leasing securitization markets and talk about the appropriate scale needed.
The Alta Group, a global consulting firm dedicated to the business of equipment leasing and finance, has several practice areas tailoring services to Fintechs, including its strategic consulting, M&A, and digital advisory. Among the services offered are market assessments, capital raising, merger and acquisition advisory, IT platform recommendations and market entry strategies.
Voorhees is a national speaker who has presented on Fintech topics at the 2016 Equipment Leasing and Finance Association convention and at networking events hosted by the Commercial Equipment Market Council (CEMC) of which Alta is a co-founder. She serves in both the management consulting and M&A practices within Alta.
The Alta Group has created a landing page devoted to Fintech that will include Voorhees’ LendIT presentation once delivered, relevant published articles and a video produced at a recent CEMC meeting that features interviews with thought leaders in financial services.
