Congratulations are in order to the volunteers, sponsors, and contributors who helped the Chris Walker Education Fund achieve its annual goal. The foundation’s goal for 2016 was to have $50,000 available for distribution and to award $10,000 in educational grants to institutional and individual educational needs.
This year’s fundraising event was hosted by the National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA) and the Chris Walker Education Fund Foundation (CWEF). The event was held at Mall of America during the NEFA fall funding conference.
According to Randy Haug, CWEF committee member, “The amount of participation showcased the sense of community the equipment finance industry has. It was a fun networking event where people were happy to contribute to a cause design for the education and growth of our industry.”
Chris Walker had a passion for education and was a tremendous advocate for the equipment finance industry. The Chris Walker Educational Fund was created to honor his contributions and to keep his mission for supporting education and professional development going.
