U.S. Bank has hired rail industry veteran Mike Keasling to serve as an equipment leasing specialist. Based in Chicago, Keasling joins the bank in a national role focusing on deepening existing and developing new client relationships in the rail industry.

“Mike is an established leader with extensive industry experience and a demonstrated track record of helping clients achieve their goals. We’re pleased to welcome him to U.S. Bank,” said Peter Mason, senior vice president and national sales manager of U.S. Bank’s capital equipment group.

Keasling has more than 30 years of experience in the railcar brokerage and leasing industry. He spent much of his career at The CIT Group including as senior vice president of rail leasing, and has also worked with Vertex Railcar Corporation, American Railcar Leasing LLC and ran his own consultancy. His experience includes asset, sales and portfolio management, and more.

Keasling earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s Darden Executive Management Program.
