Former GE Capital Corporate Lending Leader Joins Great Rock Capital Partners

Great Rock Capital Partners, a Connecticut-based investment management firm specializing in middle marketing lending, announced Jim Hogan has joined the firm as Chief Risk Officer. Hogan will oversee the firm's risk management, including, leading due diligence on transactions, underwriting and documentation efforts, as well as implementing portfolio controls and reporting. He will report to Stuart Armstrong, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer.

"Jim is one of the most qualified leaders in the commercial lending space and understands the critical need for financing that many middle market companies have in today's evolving environment," said Stuart Armstrong. "His experience in corporate finance, especially in special situations, will be a significant asset as we continue to build the foundation for the growth of Great Rock Capital."

Hogan joins Great Rock Capital with over 25 years of commercial lending experience. He previously worked with Regions Financial Corporation, where he served as Head of Retail Finance Origination. Prior to Regions, he spent over 15 years at GE Capital Corporate Lending where he served as Commercial Leader of Restructuring and Retail Finance. He has also held positions at ING Capital, Heller Financial, and Deloitte & Touche, and has worked on a number of origination, credit and capital markets teams focused on special situations, including restructurings, leveraged buyouts, strategic acquisitions and recapitalizations.

Hogan holds an MBA in Finance from New York University'sLeonard N. Stern School of Business and a B.A in Economics from Columbia University.
