Stonebriar Commercial Finance ("Stonebriar") announced that Todd Thompson, Harrison Smith and Melissa Hightower, have recently joined the company.
Mr. Thompson joins SCF as Senior Investment Manager while Mr. Smith assumes the role of Credit Analyst, and Mrs. Hightower joins as Administrative Assistant. Both Thompson and Smith report to Jeff Wilkison, SCF Chief Credit Officer and Melissa reports to Carrie Stovall, SCF Office Manager.
Todd Thompson joins SCF with 9 years of prior experience in the private equity and investment banking sectors including such firms as Pillar Capital Management, Wachovia Securities and Piper Jaffray as well 3 years of experience in corporate mergers and acquisitions for a Dallas based aggregates company. He has an M.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and Strategy from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Business degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Texas Christian University.
Harrison Smith comes to SCF following 3 years of working in Mongolia as an analyst for Novaterra and Schulze Global Investments facilitating financing and investment for a wide variety of industries and projects ranging from solar and health insurance to the creation of a sovereign wealth fund. In addition, he was involved with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation which provides debt financing to small and medium sized businesses across a broad array of industries. Mr. Smith graduated from Rollins College with a degree in International Business and studied Mandarin at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Two years ago, ELFA launched their Emerging Talent initiative. In support of their mission, SCF is actively searching for new personnel to bring into the industry. Melissa Hightower joins SCF from JPMorgan Chase, where she held administrative roles since 2009. Prior to that, she worked as an Operations Supervisor at Washington Mutual. Melissa graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Public Relations.
Stonebriar is a privately held commercial finance company established in 2015 and based in Plano, TX. In partnership with Security Benefit Corporation, Stonebriar is building a world class, multi-billion dollar platform of commercial loans and leases. Since its inception in April, Stonebriar has committed to in excess of $375 million in financings to date.
