Prior to joining Cohn & Dussi, Schultheis focused on transactional law, including commercial lending and finance, commercial real estate, equipment leasing and finance, commercial & industrial (C&I) loans, asset-based loans and restructuring and workouts.

Schultheis has handled commercial loan originations and modifications up to $65 million in value. Previously, he served as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Division of the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office.

“We are thrilled to welcome Alex to our team,” said Lewis Cohn, Managing Partner at Cohn & Dussi. “His unique blend of transactional and litigation experience, coupled with his commitment to transparency, ethics and client education, makes him an invaluable asset to our firm and our clients.”

Schultheis is a member of the Massachusetts Bar, Rhode Island Bar, two U.S. District Courts – District of Massachusetts and District of Rhode Island, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit. He is also a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Turnaround Management Association.

Schultheis earned his B.A. from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, graduating with a concentration in business law and financial services. He served as Lead Articles Editor of the Journal of High Technology Law and had his work published during his final year.
