Live Oak Bank has created a new team dedicated to commercial banking in the Wilmington market. The Wilmington Commercial Bank team serves business owners throughout the Cape Fear region looking for access to capital. The team includes Brad Neigel, Kellie Lewis and Morgan Moskal, and is based on the Live Oak Bank campus.
“We are excited to join the Live Oak team and create a specialized approach to commercial banking in Wilmington,” said Neigel, leader of the Wilmington team. “Live Oak’s mission to serve small businesses fills a gap not only across the country, but also in our own hometown. While others are exiting the market, we are excited to expand Live Oak’s footprint in Wilmington and offer a new approach to relationship-focused banking that others simply can’t match.”
The team will serve businesses with annual revenues between $2 million and $100 million, deploy capital through conventional lending products and offer competitive deposit services. The team is an experienced group of commercial bankers who serve businesses of all kinds and can make handoffs to Live Oak’s industry-specific lending groups as needed.
“In a high-growth community like ours, access to business capital can be a critical need,” said Live Oak Bank President William C. Losch. “The Wilmington commercial banking team is dedicated to a personalized approach to help companies secure the capital they need to buy, build, expand, and operate their business.”
Neigel comes to Live Oak from Customers Bank where he previously served as regional president of commercial banking for the Carolinas. He brings over 25 years of commercial banking experience having served in various client facing, leadership, and strategic roles during his career.
Lewis previously served as a commercial relationship manager at Customers Bank. She brings over 15 years of experience in the financial industry. Throughout her career, Lewis has worked in various client-facing roles including personal banking, business banking, and commercial banking.
Moskal previously served as a business development officer for Customers Bank, where he contributed significantly to the implementation, growth and success of the team throughout the Carolinas. He brings nearly 10 years of banking experience including seven years at Live Oak working in the loan servicing, underwriting and SBA lending departments.
