Valley Bank announced the appointment of Kevin O’Connor as Market President for Long Island, NY. In this role, O’Connor will focus on deepening current relationships, new business development initiatives and cultivating growth opportunities throughout Long Island.

“I am excited to join Valley and contribute to the ongoing development of this strategically important market,” remarked O’Connor. “I look forward to collaborating with our talented team delivering exceptional value to our clients and continuing the expansion of the Valley brand throughout this region.”

O’Connor brings over 35 years of banking experience to Valley. He previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Dime Community Bank, the successor organization to Bridgehampton National Bank (“Bridge”) after the 2021 merger between the two organizations. He was named as one of Long Island’s top CEOs by Long Island Business News. His other roles in financial services included senior executive positions at North Fork Bank and KPMG.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kevin to Valley,” commented Valley President Tom Iadanza. “We believe his vast experience in the industry and proven history of driving results make him an invaluable addition to our organization. As we continue to focus on growing our franchise across New York, Kevin will play a critical role in shaping our future success.”

O’Connor currently serves on the board and executive committee of the HI-LIA and is an executive committee member of the Board of Trustees for Suffolk Community College. In addition, he is the Chair of the Board of the Long Island chapter of Habitat for Humanity and on the boards of United Veterans Beacon House and Pursuit Lending. He is the former LI and NYS chair of the NY Bankers Association.
