CSC Leasing Company (CSC Leasing), a provider of equipment and technology leasing solutions, announced the appointment of Jeff Pfeffer as Executive Director.
Pfeffer is an industry veteran and brings deep knowledge, experience and expertise through his 35 years of working in, founding and leading leasing companies.
Prior to joining CSC, Pfeffer co-founded CapX Partners, an alternative debt fund founded as a mid-ticket equipment lessor targeting private equity and venture capital backed companies. During his tenure at CapX, he led the firm’s investment strategy, sales team, and investment committee, producing over $700 million in new assets under management. When Pfeffer and his partners ultimately merged CapX into Accord Financial, a publicly owned asset-based lender, Pfeffer served as Accord Equipment Finance’s president for four years and established the firm’s syndication platform.
As CSC’s Executive Director, Pfeffer serves as an internal advisor to senior leadership, working with capital markets, finance, and other business units to contribute expertise as CSC continues to build a world class equipment finance platform. As part of CSC’s sales organization, Pfeffer’s role also builds upon his proven success in business development and origination. He will be based in Chicago, IL.
Sam Corey, President and Chief Investment Officer of CSC, expressed his enthusiasm for Pfeffer’s hire, “I have known Jeff personally and professionally for many years. He is not only an excellent culture fit, but his leadership will help continue to grow CSC’s business and reputation as a leading specialty finance provider. We are delighted to have an executive of Jeff’s caliber contribute to the company on various strategic initiatives as well as develop new client relationships in the Midwest. He will bring fresh insights and a wealth of experience to CSC and our clients.”
Reflecting on his new role, Pfeffer said, “I could not be more excited to join a fast paced, growing, and sophisticated team like CSC. While managing CapX Partners and Accord Equipment Finance, we co-invested with CSC numerous times, and I look forward to contributing to the close-knit, winning culture I’ve come to know. The sky's the limit for this team and I look forward to helping drive CSC’s growth and delivering incredible value for clients.”
Pfeffer has served as a Board of Director for the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center since 2008, acting as Board Chair for three years from 2018-2020. He has been active with various finance and equipment leasing trade associations serving as a board member and officer for both the Association for Corporate Growth Chicago and the Midwest Region of National Association of SBIC’s (today the Small Business Investor Alliance).
