First Citizens Bank announced its Middle Market Banking group has named Erik Langeland as a relationship manager and market leader focused on building new business in Northern California.
Langeland will be responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of middle market banking relationships, as well as delivering a full suite of commercial banking products and services. Based in San Francisco, he will report to Brendan Chambers, who leads First Citizens Middle Market Banking.
“Erik has deep experience serving the needs of middle market businesses with an emphasis on family and entrepreneur owned and managed companies,” said Chambers. “I’m excited to have Erik join our growing team and look forward to expanding our Middle Market Banking business into Northern California.”
Langeland brings nearly 30 years of commercial banking experience to First Citizens, having most recently served as managing director and market executive of Northern California for JP Morgan Chase Bank. Throughout his career, he has held several roles of increasing leadership responsibility for the commercial banking division of JP Morgan Chase Bank. Langeland holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa.
