The 2023 NEFA Funding Symposium included a thrilling and impactful Texas Tailgate & Hold'em Charity Tournament that garnered support from the equipment finance community. The event, organized by the National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA) Philanthropic Committee, raised an impressive $12,000, which will be divided equally between the Indy Foundation and the National Lymphedema Network.
The NEFA Texas Tailgate & Hold'em Charity Tournament brought together equipment finance professionals for an evening of camaraderie, poker and lawn games—all in the name of supporting crucial causes in the fight against cancer.
Jennifer Stich of Falcon Equipment Finance, a cancer survivor and advocate for the Indy Foundation, expressed her gratitude for the generosity of those in attendance. Stich said, "Thank you to everyone who attended the NEFA Charity event to allow for such a generous donation to be made to the INDY Foundation. This donation will help cancer warriors and their families with any needs they are experiencing. I’m so grateful for this equipment finance community and your generosity."
Linda Tiers of Baystone Government Finance, a breast cancer survivor and supporter of the National Lymphedema Network, shared her sentiments on the event's impact. "As a breast cancer survivor, I am humbled and honored to have been a part of this incredible fund-raising event sponsored by NEFA, which will benefit The National Lymphedema Network. Lymphedema is a terrible lifelong condition that affects thousands of people and truly deserves research and support. I cannot thank Chad (Sluss) and the entire NEFA organization/members enough for this opportunity."
The NEFA Funding Symposium continues to serve as a platform for the equipment finance industry to come together, share knowledge, receive education in the industry, and make a positive impact on important causes.
NEFA will support another deserving cause at the 2024 Finance Summit in Huntington Beach, CA on March 25-28.
