Recently, in accordance with its bylaws, NEFA Immediate Past President and Board Chairperson, Jim Jackson of The Alta Group, appointed a Nominating Committee consisting of both Regular and Services Members.

The Nominating Committee for 2023 is:

• Chairperson – Jim Jackson, The Alta Group (Services Member – Service Provider) – Board of Directors Immediate Past President
• Adam Peterson, CHANNEL (Services Member – Funding Source) – Board of Directors President
• Kimberly King - BankFinancial Equipment Finance (Services Member - Funding Source) - Board of Directors Secretary

The Nominating Committee will be preparing a slate of candidates for positions on the NEFA Board of Directors and Executive Committee to be voted on virtually in advance of the 2023 NEFA Funding Symposium. Results of the voting will be announced on Thursday, Oct. 5.

The Nominating Committee will make every effort to put forth a slate of candidates generally representative of the NEFA Membership.

All current Members of NEFA are hereby invited to submit names of candidates for the Nominating Committee to consider.

• Being a NEFA Board Member is a volunteer opportunity to advise and assist in the continued development of NEFA in a way that can have a long-term impact on its members and the equipment finance industry.
• Each Board Member will be assigned by the President and Chairperson of the Board to one or more committees based on the strategic and operational needs of the association.
• The time commitment to serve on the Board is minimal, consisting mostly of Board and Committee conference calls and committee work, recruiting member volunteers and calls on new and prospective members and potential conference attendees.
• NEFA asks that interested Board prospects be prepared to make a good faith commitment to attend, in person, the two Board Meetings held at our two major conferences during their year of service plus attend as many regional and other events as possible.
• All Board terms of service are one year at a time.
