Transport Enterprise Leasing, LLC (TEL) announced the appointment of John Barber as Regional Director of Business Development for Fleet Leasing in the Southeastern U.S. He is focused on growing the company’s market share in the region.

“This is an excellent company with nearly 20 years of success. Fleet leasing is one of TEL’s strengths and we forge deep relationships with our customers,” Barber said. “But in some areas, we are a fairly well-kept secret.

“I am working with our sales teams to make TEL a household name in our home region, the Southeast, just as other business development directors will be helping the company expand in the Midwest, Texas and Southwest.”

TEL has expanded sales coverage and support in the Southeast, improving its availability to serve more customers in the region, he added.

Barber brings more than two decades of experience in transportation, equipment leasing and finance to the position as well as expertise leading sales teams at three major companies. He also has a deep understanding of the industry, dealers and trucking companies that benefits TEL and its customers, company officials said.
