Michael Mayfield has joined Onset Financial as the Senior Vice President of Remarketing and Strategic Development. Mayfield spent 25 years building a thriving law practice at one of Salt Lake City’s largest and oldest law firms. His practice focused on commercial litigation. Mayfield is highly respected as one of the top lawyers in Utah, earning a reputation as an outstanding advocate for leasing and other finance companies.

Mayfield has been repeatedly recognized at the state and national levels. In 2023, he was selected for inclusion on the list of the Best Lawyers in America in Banking and Finance Law, and by Mountain States Super Lawyers in Banking Law. Mayfield’s peers have repeatedly voted him as one of Utah’s Legal Elite, as published by Utah Business Magazine. In 2021, the Banking and Finance section of the Utah State Bar recognized Mayfield with its Distinguished Service Award. He has also maintained an AV Preeminent rating with Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating awarded to attorneys for professional competence and ethics.

Mayfield received his juris doctorate degree from the University of Utah. In his new role at Onset, Mayfield will be responsible for managing the end-of-term lease settlements and negotiations with Onset’s customers.
