EquipmentWatch, the industry’s source for heavy equipment data and intelligence, has announced the 2022 finalists for its popular annual Highest Retained Value Awards (HRVA). These are the only industry awards that leverage third-party, unbiased data to identify equipment that is projected to best hold its value in the next five years.
For each of the 30 award categories, EquipmentWatch analysts reviewed the most popular equipment on the resale channel during the past 12 months. The models were sorted by their relative popularity and any that were not a 2022 production model in North America were removed. After filtering the data, EquipmentWatch analysts chose three of the top models as finalists. The time horizon chosen for EquipmentWatch’s HRVAs is five years, so the retained values are the anticipated values for a piece of equipment five years from now.
Retained values are an integral part of equipment purchase and maintenance. Jessica Carr, Director of Data & Analytics at EquipmentWatch said, “At every step, from the rent/buy decisions to leasing operations and fleet management, knowing and understanding retained values can provide powerful insights into the optimal choice.”
This year, 39 unique manufacturers claimed the top three spots across the 30 award categories. Learn more about the Highest Retained Value Awards here. Winners will be announced on Oct. 17.
