Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP has announced Alexander Litt, an associate of the firm, was appointed to serve as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee of the Commercial & Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association (COMFED).
COMFED brings together members of the bench and bar interested in relevant issues and laws affecting commercial litigation and associated issues in federal and state court. The section presents programs and CLEs, including an annual destination Spring Meeting where attorneys congregate for professional development. It also holds events to provide members with opportunities to meet and hear from Judges and experienced commercial litigators and leaders of the legal community.
Litt concentrates his practice in all facets of complex commercial litigation related matters and judgment enforcement and collection for high net worth individuals and small to medium size businesses. Litt’s trial experience includes direct examination of expert witnesses, direct and cross-examination question preparation, drafting pre-trial briefs, and preparing damage models and analysis. He is also experienced in motion research and drafting, crafting summary judgment and contempt of court hearing motion arguments, and client interviews. Litt has served as a first chair in numerous court hearings and in judgement debtor depositions. In 2021, he was recognized by New York Super Lawyers as a Rising Star. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law.
