Equipment Finance Cares (EFC) held an event at Regents Capital’s headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA. More than 45 equipment finance professionals attended, representing 30 different organizations.
“We had great lineup of panels and speakers for our latest event,” said Jesse Johnson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for JDR Solutions and Founder of Equipment Finance Cares. “Regents did a great job hosting the event and we raised our largest amount to date that we will be splitting between the foundations that were showcased.”
The program offered two industry thought-leading panels. Jaimie Haver, CLFP, CEO of Happy Manufacturing moderated the “best practices” panel which featured, Kyin Lok, Dext Capital; Amy Spragg, CLFP, Pacifica Capital; and Don Hansen, Regents Capital. The second panel, “human side of leasing,” was moderated by Johnson and featured: Nancy Robles, Eastern Funding; Scott Thacker, CLFP, Ivory Consulting; Maggie Holly, CLFP, Hanmi Bank; and David Rhoads, Blue Street Capital. Panel discussions touched on topics such as: industry best practices, hiring and maintaining a remote salesforce, supply chain disruption, overcoming pandemic related business disruption, DE&I, mental health of employees, and more.
The foundations that were showcased during the event were: Tam Ky Project, The Walk to End Lupus, The Ridgewood School, Rise Against Hunger, Beyond Blindness, Love Life Now Foundation, Equipment Lease & Finance Foundation and the Chris Walker Education Fund.
“This EFC event was very intimate and gave me an opportunity to know more about people I have known for years, on a deeply personal level. I heard stories that inspired and moved me,” said moderator Jaimie Haver, CLFP. “I feel a different connection to people I may never have had the courage to approach.”
