GE Capital’s Telecom, Media and Technology (TMT) financing business announced that sell-side analyst Raj Seth has joined as managing director and senior technology analyst. Seth brings more than 20 years of technology industry experience to a team delivering comprehensive lending solutions to middle market technology companies.
In 2013, TMT provided more than $5.5 billion over 59 deals, including $1.5 billion to technology businesses.
“Given strong and increasing interest from our private equity sponsors and corporations in the tech space, this is the perfect time to add Raj to our tech lending business,” remarked Mark Bernier, senior managing director of TMT and leader of the technology and telecom teams. “GE has a long standing history of technology leadership. Our enhanced knowledge of this rapidly evolving sector means we can help our customers make smart business decisions.”
Recognized by Institutional Investor, Reuters, Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” poll numerous times in both the hardware and software sectors, Seth joins TMT after serving as a top-ranked sell-side analyst at Cowen & Co., where he covered a range of technology sub-sectors for more than 15 years. Prior to Cowen, Seth was a strategy consultant at The Parthenon Group in Boston and a chip designer at LSI Logic.
Seth received his B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, M.S. in computer engineering from Cornell University and MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
