Univest Capital, Inc., a subsidiary of Univest Bank and Trust Co., has expanded its team with the addition of Matt Banister and Joseph O’Hara as Senior Business Development Officers.

Banister joined the company as Senior Vice President and Senior Business Development Manager. He initially will focus on the construction, transportation and tree/forestry markets. He will be supporting nationwide relationships with original equipment manufacturers, dealers and end-user clients. Banister has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He most recently was a Vice President of Sales, Strategic Business Unit Leader at BB&T Commercial Equipment Capital.

O’Hara serves as Vice President and Senior Business Development Manager at Univest Capital. He has more than 35 years of experience in equipment leasing and finance with a concentration in financing construction and light contractor equipment. Prior to joining Univest Capital, he served as President and Founder of a national finance company for nearly 20 years specializing in providing equipment financing to the equipment rental industry working with manufacturers, distributors and independent equipment rental business owners. Throughout his career in the equipment leasing and finance industry, he has led several national sales teams, managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of an equipment finance operation as well as establishing and implementing successful sales and marketing programs.
