Milestone Equipment Holdings, a national leader in transportation equipment leasing solutions, announced the addition of Phil Shook as Executive Vice President - Domestic Intermodal. Shook will lead the expansion of Milestone's Domestic Intermodal segment and oversee other enterprise-wide marketing and customer support functions. Shook will report directly to Don Clayton, President and Chief Executive Officer. Based in the Lombard, IL, corporate office, Shook will partner closely with Executive Vice President Doug Hoehn, who will continue to lead Milestone's rapidly growing Marine Chassis segment.
“I am thrilled to add Phil to our executive team,” said Clayton. “He has been a customer and friend of Milestone for many years. His experience working in the rail and logistics space will be invaluable as we continue to grow our Domestic Intermodal business, while focusing on delivering a broad range of solutions to customers throughout the surface transportation industry.”
Prior to joining Milestone, Shook served in a variety of strategic roles for C.H. Robinson for 24 years, most recently as Vice President, North America Surface Transportation. During that time, he also served as a Board member for the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) and the University of Denver Transportation Institute.
“I am excited to begin the next chapter of my career with Milestone,” said Shook. “As a customer of Milestone, I always appreciated their creativity and commitment to customer service in the intermodal business, but I did not grasp the full range of the company's capabilities, or the growth they had achieved over the past five years. Working with my peers across Milestone, I am confident we can continue to deliver new customer solutions, a best-in-class customer experience and continued above-market growth.”
With a diverse fleet of more than 90,000 trailers, chassis and containers, Milestone is one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing transportation equipment lessors. Founded in 1995, it is headquartered in St. Charles, MO.
