Verdant Commercial Capital, LLC is expanding its focus on the Office Products market by adding three industry veterans to its sales team. Joining the Verdant Office Products sales team are Scott Plemmons, Ruthanne Walsh and Jim Wheeler.
“In our third year of business, Verdant surpassed $300 million in originations in 2020 with double-digit growth,” said Brian Lowe, Verdant’s Chief Commercial Officer. “As we look to grow our six verticals at Verdant, we wanted to hire deep domain expertise in the Office Product vertical and adding Scott, Ruthanne and Jim does exactly that. We are excited to work with Office Product OEMs and their dealers to help them sell more equipment and services through financing.”
Scott Plemmons joins the Verdant team as Vice President, Relationship Manager. With a background in commercial finance, Plemmons will now focus his efforts on the West. Plemmons most recently was the AVP-Western Regional manager for CIT Bank where he was responsible for a $600 million industrial portfolio team.
“I am very excited to join the Verdant team,” said Plemmons. “Verdant’s dynamic ability to be agile in the market will help me expand and deepen lender relationships in a way that will accelerate the growth not only Verdant, but our vendor partners.”
Ruthanne Walsh brings 30 years of experience in the equipment leasing finance industry to her role of Vice President, Relationship Manager at Verdant. She has an extensive background in sales, asset management and operations. Prior to joining Verdant, Walsh worked for TIAA Bank.

Also joining the Verdant Office Products sales team is Jim Wheeler, Vice President, Relationship Manager. With 35 years of experience in selling to the office products industry, Wheeler has been a leader at selling hardware devices and software solutions to large accounts. Wheeler most recently worked in major/national accounts for Modern Office Methods.
