Tamarack Consulting, a provider of independent software solutions in the equipment finance and commercial lending industry, has hired Norma Arias as a Senior Consultant. Reporting to Tamarack’s Director of Professional Services Chad Carlson, Arias’ primary focus will be on overseeing successful implementation of client projects and managing client relationships.
“The pandemic has shown us having a team of experienced project leaders to deal with unknowns is essential for the success of our clients,” said Carlson. “Understanding how processes operate within an organization and how lease accounting systems work is a critical component of rapid responses to changing situations. There are very few individuals who possess experience in both aspects. Norma (Arias) is one of those rare individuals and I could not be more excited to have her join the Tamarack team.”
Arias brings to Tamarack 30 years of experience in data conversions, portfolio management, and operational processing within the equipment leasing industry. Over the course of her career she has worked extensively on development of origination system and lease accounting system solutions.
She joins Tamarack following a long-term contract engagement with Dell Financial Services where she provided support across the organization for the system. Prior to her engagement with Dell, Arias held several positions with increasing responsibility during her 15-year career at Bank of the West ultimately managing the project, helpdesk and production teams as Senior Vice President - Support Services for the Equipment Finance division. Arias’ last position resulted from a request to lead a back-office re-engineering effort for the Equipment Finance Division as part of the CBG PMO with the goal of identifying inefficiencies and creating standardization across seven operational departments supporting nearly a dozen databases.
“Having worked on the lessor side of the industry, I’ve known Dan Nelson and Tamarack for many years,” said Arias. “What I really like about Tamarack is their commitment to implementing solutions that enable lessors to realize greater value from their operations. And we both recognize the importance of building mutually beneficial relationships. I couldn’t be more thrilled about joining this team.”
Earlier in her career, Arias served as Vice President, MIS and Office Manager at Trinity Capital Corporation. During her 10-year tenure at Trinity, she was responsible for Managed Services client relationships and led high-performance project, helpdesk, systems operations, and development teams focused on applications core to the operations of the company. She began her career at American National Leasing as a Systems and Office Manager. In this role, she oversaw daily contract on-boarding and was responsible for maintaining the lease accounting system.
A graduate of San Francisco University, Arias will continue to be based in the greater San Francisco Bay area.
