Tamarack Consulting, a provider of independent software solutions in the equipment finance and commercial lending industry, announced the expansion of its board of directors. External members joining the board are equipment finance industry leader Jeff Cowan and renowned technology industry leader Rick Gretsch.
Following the spinoff of its Salesforcce.com products division in July, Tamarack has refocused its business strategy around investment in digital technologies, enterprise software products, and expanded delivery of professional and managed services supporting digital transformation. As part of this realignment, Tamarack has taken focused measures to strengthen the company’s foundation – bringing on new leadership team members and forging strategic partnerships.
“In the past few months, we’ve been working diligently to lay the foundation for the company’s path forward,” said Daniel Nelson, founder and CEO of Tamarack. “Expanding and strengthening our board of directors is a significant step in achieving our goals. As a private company, adding seasoned expert outside board members will provide advice on important strategic issues and offer invaluable counsel on a variety of key issues. Jeff (Cowan) and Rick (Gretsch) will undoubtedly add to and expand the breadth of resources already available within the company.”
Cowan brings an entrepreneur, capital and lessor perspective to the company’s board of directors having spent more than 33 years in the finance industry. He currently is Managing Partner of Capital Four, LLC. which he formed in 2018, and an active member of the Minnesota start-up community. Prior to Capital Four, Cowan was a founding partner and co-CEO of Creekridge Capital and was invited to and became President of HCA Vendor Services when the company was acquired by Hitachi Capital America Corp. in June 2016.
Gretsch brings a digital product management perspective to Tamarack, having spent his career working at industry giants IBM and AT&T. Most recently, he served as a key leader of Accelerated Concepts which, after five years of rapid growth, was acquired by Digi International. Following the acquisition, he served as Digi’s Vice President of Product Management – Cellular Routers.
Joining Cowan and Gretsch on the expanded Tamarack board of directors will be Founder and CEO, Daniel Nelson, Chief Digital Officer Scott Nelson and Vice President of Corporate Development Sid Overbey.
