GSG Financial announced the appointment of John M. Hays III as Senior Vice President of Business Development, GSG Vendor Finance.
“The addition of John to the GSG team demonstrates our commitment to on boarding top industry talent” said President Kiran R. Kapur. “He brings a track record of success in delivering turnkey financing programs to marquis vendors and service providers in a variety of industry sectors. We are excited to have someone of John’s quality representing GSG in the industry, and look forward to his contributions as we grow our vendor finance platform.”
Hays has over 20 years experience in vendor finance program management, sales, marketing, and business development in commercial finance markets. Before joining GSG, he held multiple positions with CIT Group Inc., most recently as Vice President Marketing/Business Development for CIT Vendor Finance. Prior positions include US Channel Sales and Vendor Channel Management, roles where Hays developed vendor financing programs with channel partners and the direct sales teams of Lucent Technologies, Expanets, Agilent Technologies, Avaya and AT&T. He graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s College with a B.S. in Business and Finance.
“I am excited to join the GSG Team,” said Hays. “Having the right financing partner is essential for vendors desiring a strong, competitive, go-to-market strategy. GSG is that ‘right partner’ because its programs are driven by customer’s needs and delivering flexible tailored solutions to meet those needs. The result is a win-win for vendors and their end-users.”
Last month, GSG Financial announced the creation of two new business units: Vendor Finance and End User Finance. GSG Vendor Finance supports the sales efforts of vendors by delivering customer financing solutions to their end users. The addition of Hays represents an important step in the build out of the Vendor Finance team. He will be focused on extending GSG’s core offering of personalized service and customized programs.
