CIT Canada announced the appointment of Douglas McKenzie as Specialty Finance Leader, effective immediately. He will report directly to Blake Macaskill, Managing Director, CIT Canada. 

McKenzie will be responsible for building CIT Canada’s Franchise Finance business, which provides financing to major franchise systems, and for diversifying CIT Canada’s business by developing new product lines in additional markets and sectors.

Mr. Macaskill said, “Doug’s extensive sales and finance experience will make him an outstanding asset for the CIT Canada team as we continue to develop new market segments that will support our future growth. His demonstrated leadership skills will serve him well as he oversees our franchise financing business and explores new opportunities to provide valuable financial services to our clients.”

Prior to CIT, McKenzie served as Vice President, Sales and Business Development, at Lift Capital Corporation in Toronto. Before this, he was with GE Capital in Canada, where he served as a Senior Manager on the Franchise Finance team. Previous to GE, he served as a Syndication Manager with the National Leasing Group in Toronto and Vancouver.
