Reuters reported that Citigroup has launched a website to make small business loans of up to $1 million. According ot the Reuters report, Citigroup's entrance into online lending comes after similar moves by several other banks including JPMorgan Chase, which announced a partnership with online lender On Deck Capital in 2015, and Wells Fargo, which launched an online small business loan product in 2016.
According to Reuters, Citigroup's website is run by Biz2Credit and borrowers visiting the Citigroup website are directed to a separate website run by Biz2Credit where they fill out an online application before following up with a Citigroup small business banker.
