Employees at Marlin Business Services Corp.’s headquarters in Mt. Laurel, NJ donated over three and a half tons of food during a month-long food drive challenge benefitting the Food Bank of South Jersey.  The majority of the 250 employees at Marlin’s headquarters live in southern New Jersey, and are active throughout the year participating in community service projects. They felt strongly that the food drive should benefit their local neighborhoods across Camden, Burlington, Gloucester and Salem counties.  Originally targeting 500 pounds as their goal, they upped the stakes by forming teams to compete for who could donate the most food.

The Food Bank of South Jersey is an important source of food for charitable feeding programs, and has over 250 partners including soup kitchens, food pantries, rescues and homeless shelters, as well as direct services programs that target the most fragile and vulnerable groups – children and the elderly. In many cases, the Food Bank is the last hope for these organizations, and without support many of these programs to help the hungry would shut down.
