Rafael Castillo-Triana, CEO of The Alta Group’s Latin American Region, will shed light on the market-entry opportunity presented by climate finance at the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s (ELFA) 2024 Legal Forum taking place May 5-7 in Scottsdale, AZ.
Castillo-Triana, along with Alta Director Patricia Voorhees and Ian Robertson, Executive Director for Invigors, which is part of The Alta Group operating in Europe, the Middle East & Africa, recently authored a comprehensive research report for the Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundation (ELFF) that offers a roadmap to help equipment finance companies turn the immense capital investment poised to enter the climate equipment market into business opportunity.
Castillo-Triana will discuss the report, entitled, “Climate Finance: A Massive Commercial Opportunity for Equipment Finance,” during a breakout session on Monday, May 6. In addition to the ELFF report, the session will also cover electric vehicles (EVs) and charging stations and energy as a service.
Joining Castillo-Triana on the panel will be Stephen Whelan, a partner with Blank Rome LLP, and Scott Adams, VP for Legal & Compliance, North America, for Volvo Financial Services.
“I am honored to share with my colleagues in the legal profession the outcome of our research in the field of climate finance where all the legal expertise, creativity in transaction structuring and risk management are required,” said Castillo-Triana. “I hope to be able to convey the great opportunities of new business that add value to the welfare of our generation and all generations to come.”
The ELFA is offering both in-person and virtual attendance options for the 2024 Legal Forum.
