ENGS Commercial Finance Co. announced the appointment of Roman Gajda, a member of the leadership team at ENGS, to ELFA’s Independent Business Council Steering Committee.
Gajda joined ENGS in 2015 and has been a key contributor on ENGS’ fintech solutions, serving as ENGS’ Director of Financial Technology Solutions since 2018.
“Roman has been a key driver in our pursuit of industry-firsts in fintech. His contributions have influenced better customer service and back-office efficiency, allowing us to be an industry leader in speed-to-decision and funding in a traditionally paper market,” said Christopher Johanneson, ENGS Chief Operating Officer. “We know that ELFA, like ENGS, will benefit from Roman’s diverse skills and depth of experience.”
Before joining ENGS, Gajda held senior level roles in technology and operations for commercial finance organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago, a Master’s Certificate in Change Management from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, and a CPP (Certified Purchasing Professional) credential through the American Purchasing Society.
Gajda will serve on the ELFA Independent Business Council Steering Committee throughout 2023 alongside 19 other prominent finance industry leaders. The Independent Business Council Steering Committee specifically represents non-bank-owned financing organizations that offer lines of credit, discounting relationships, and other business funding vehicles.
Like all ELFA steering committees, the Independent Business Council includes a member liaison to each of the ELFA’s People Power committees: the Equity Committee, the Emerging Talent Advisory Council, and the Women’s Council. While announcing its Independent Business Council for 2023, the ELFA concurrently announced the members of its Bank Business Council Steering Committee, Captive and Vendor Finance Business Council Steering Committee, Service Providers Business Council Steering Committee, and Small Ticket Business Council Steering Committee.
Gajda is looking forward to joining ELFA’s steering committee. “In light of the prominent role that the ELFA plays in the U.S. equipment finance sector, this is certainly a tremendous honor,” said Gajda. “As the primary voice of American equipment finance professionals, the ELFA and its Independent Business Council Steering Committee have the ability to spearhead real, lasting, positive change throughout the industry.”
