AACFB Commercial Financing Expo Continues Year-Over-Year Growth

September 16, 2022, 07:20 AM

The American Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (AACFB) wrapped up its third in-person Commercial Financing Expo on Sept. 8 at the M Resort, Spa & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The event garnered over 300 registrations and saw a 20 percent increase in attendance over its 2019 event and a 50 percent increase over its inaugural Expo in 2018. More than 120 brokers kept the sold-out exhibit hall busy throughout the event.

Las Vegas was experiencing a heat wave but there was no need to leave the resort, which boasts multiple dining options, an expansive pool and of course a casino. The Women in Finance Breakfast kicked off the two-days of networking and education with 60 women in attendance. Attendees of both the breakfast and the evening reception enjoyed stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding mountains complemented by phenomenal food.

  • Educational seminars focused on a diverse range of topics including:
  • Pros and Cons of Working with Super Brokers
  • Fraud Detection and Prevention
  • Tech Trends and Cyber Security
  • Disclosure Laws
  • How to Sell in a Rising Rate Environment
  • Pros and Cons of Funder Portals
  • How to Compete Against Online Lenders/Lines of Credit
  • Fintech – Automated Underwriting Services
  • What Makes a Great Funder/Broker

The two-day line-up of education was topped off with two in-depth boot camps with one focusing on marketing and the other on recession-proofing brokerages. Thursday morning, the exhibit hall was still active as attendees tried to make connections with as many exhibitors as possible. Many of the attendees were enjoying refreshments from the Bloody Mary bar provided in the exhibit hall.

AACFB Executive Director Monica Harper said, “It was wonderful to have the Commercial Financing Expo back in person after a two-year hiatus. We were thrilled with the turnout and activity during the event. The planning committee did a stellar job developing the agenda. Many thanks go out to planning committee members Barbara Griffith; Theresa Kabot, CLFP; Harmony Oswald; and Vickie Rocco as well as chair Katie Baker and board liaisons, Laura Estrada, and Carrie Radloff, CLFP. We look forward to continuing to grow this popular program next year when the Expo will be held Sept. 20-21, 2023, at the luxurious Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, FL.”
