Dedicated Financial GBC CEO Shawn Smith reported the company’s 2021 charitable impact, which included feeding approximately half a million children and contributing over a quarter of a million dollars to charitable causes that are important to the company’s team members.

“Social responsibility has always been at the forefront of our company culture,” said Smith. “As a faith-based company, Dedicated was built on the ideal of putting people before profit. Leading with our values has brought our company growth and employee excellence from day one, and giving back is an integral part of who we are.”

“The following is just one example of what we do: Through a multi-year partnership with Feed My Starving Children, Dedicated has now donated more than 1.5 million meals to children across the globe, including half a million in 2021 alone,” said Smith. “Initially, we donated one meal for every account that was collected by our specialists. Over time, we have increased this metric and added several additional seasonal and event-driven donations.”

In addition to supporting Feed My Starving Children, Dedicated Financial GBC provided over a quarter of a million dollars to support several other organizations, including Restavek Freedom, Create MPLS, Elevate Micro Loans, Thorn, Gold Star Moms, Healing Haiti, Proud Rescuers of PR, Love Life Now, Cradle of Hope, Slipka Foundation, Man Up Club, University of Minnesota Foundation, Stories Foundation, Cookies for Kids Cancer, Movember and KT’s Sunshine Foundation.

“The organizations that we support are important to our individual team members, and what’s inspiring is that, as a company, every one of us gets on board to show support when a team member suggests a worthy cause,” said Smith. “As a team, we are using perhaps the most negatively stereotyped industry in the world to demonstrate that any business—even a collections company—can be a force for good.”
