DLL, a global asset finance company for equipment and technology, received the 2020 Digital Innovation Award from Leasing Life, one of the top leasing industry journals in Europe, during the first virtual Leasing Life Conference & Awards event.
The Leasing Life Awards recognize the most successful asset finance and leasing initiatives over the course of the year. The awards are a highlight in the industry calendar and reflect the latest trends in financing and the noteworthy initiatives that have established a strong foothold in Europe. There are multiple award categories. After an intense selection procedure by a highly qualified jury of experts with longstanding experience in both the European asset finance industry and technology sector, DLL was appointed Digital Innovation Award winner.
Digital Innovation Award
This award is meant to recognize a policy, product or leasing related site or application that pushes the envelope on how commercial lessors relate to their customers. Not designed simply for the ‘e-signatures’ or a back-room platform change, this award had to impress the judges with its technological expertise and its novelty.
The awards jury cited DLL and its “quick skills in developing innovative solutions at a time when technology is on everyone's lips.”
Technology Benefitting the Customer Experience
It is DLL’s digital ambition to deliver an amazing customer experience for its customers and employees, and to enable that experience from any location and at any time. In scope are technology development projects and enhancing the digital infrastructure. A global initiative (“Workplace 2020”) was commenced over two years ago with the ambition to ensure that every DLL employee could be mobile and continue to deliver value to its customers from any location.
The outcome of this project was thoroughly tested and validated in 2020, as DLL quickly adapted to the many remote working challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, DLL remained ‘open for business’ across its entire global network, with almost 100 percent of its employees working remotely from home and delivering support to partners and customers during their most critical time of need.
From an asset inspection mobile app, that replaces costly and intrusive physical audits to API solutions that directly integrate DLL services into the systems, processes and portals of our vendors partners, to improving performance and speed through artificial intelligence and robotics, DLL is making significant investments in digitalization.
Rob Welten, CIO at DLL concluded: “The digital conveniences that our customers have grown used to in their personal lives are now also expected in their business interactions. DLL has been able to secure vital insights into how our customers do business and the key role that technology can play in improving that experience. These activities have spurred the creation of some exciting new technology solutions. We are very proud that our efforts and expertise in digitalization continue to be recognized by both our industry peers and the top leasing publication in Europe. Innovative technologies have all the potential to enhance the ease, speed, and quality of doing business with our customers. DLL intends to remain at the forefront of these developments.”
