The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association launched the Federal Government COVID-19 Response Resource webpage. ELFA created this new resource to provide its members with the latest information regarding how the federal government is responding to the coronavirus pandemic and how the association is engaging with policymakers in response to the crisis.
Currently the new webpage features: ELFA action on COVID-19; daily updates on government actions; legislative and executive branch resources; additional resources (from CDC, Johns Hopkins, WHO and more); and historical resources. The page will include information to help members understand the government’s response, and to point their customers to resources that may become available to them. The federal government’s response to COVID-19 is dynamic; ELFA will update the page as new information becomes available.
ELFA is closely monitoring the legislative response to the coronavirus pandemic and taking an active role in representing the $900 billion equipment finance industry. The association released a special edition of its Washington Report e-newsletter today highlighting the new resource page and underscoring that in the coming days, weeks and months, it is more important than ever that the equipment finance industry maintain contact with elected officials.
“Members of Congress need to know whether their efforts to steady the economy are working,” the newsletter read. “ELFA recognizes that your health and safety, your colleagues and keeping your business operating take precedence over advocacy during these times. However, if there is something that you believe the federal government should be doing and your time permits—or if you are interested in contacting your Member of Congress regarding specific advocacy issues, and need assistance doing so—please reach out to the ELFA Federal Advocacy team.”
