A former PNC vice president who pleaded guilty to robbing a Key Bank in Anderson Township, Ohio was sentenced to three years in prison on Apr.15 according to local press. Scott A. Runge was indicted on aggravated robbery charges after the Feb. 4 incident at the Cincinnati area bank.
Runge told Hamilton County judge Melba Marsh he robbed the bank in order to support his cocaine habit. Runge pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of Felony 2 robbery in a plea deal. He could only spend 6 months in jail if he receives drug treatment and maintains good behavior.
Runge was once a vice president and regional sales manager at PNC Equipment Finance. He was laid off from that job, according to information released in his arraignment.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Runge after a security camera image was released to the public.
