The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA) announces that Megan Kueck has joined the organization as Director of State Government Relations, effective Feb. 4. In this position, Kueck will monitor, analyze and advocate on state legislation affecting the $725 billion equipment finance industry, working closely with Vice President of State Government Relations Dennis Brown.
Kueck previously worked in government relations at the Council on State Taxation (COST), where she advocated for legislation at the state and federal levels. At COST, she also increased member engagement through social media and helped to recruit and retain members. Previously, Kueck worked at a state legislative tracking service based in Arlington, Va., where she monitored and analyzed state tax legislation for business clients. Kueck also served as an analyst with the West Virginia State Legislative Auditor’s Office. She is a graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
“We are delighted to welcome Megan to serve on ELFA’s state government relations team,” said ELFA President and CEO William G. Sutton, CAE. “Her experience in state government relations and tax issues from both the legislative and advocacy sides will be a valuable asset as we continue to advance a strong state government relations agenda in support of the equipment leasing and finance industry.”
