The Alta Group announced the XIV Latin American Leasing Conference will be held on November 9 to 11 at the Hotel Intercontinental at Doral in Miami.

The first will start on Wednesday November 9 with the 9th Forum under the theme of “Impact of the New Standards and Regulations to the Leasing and Renting Industry”. The Forum will drill down on the practical implications of IFRS-16 and ASC-842 about finance vs. operating leases, including renting and the consequences of IFRS-9 and ASU 2016-13 in the value of portfolios. It will address real life cases that should bring practical and actionable lessons proactively.
 
The Forum will be followed by the XIV Latin American Leasing Conference that will take place between Thursday November 10 and Friday November 11, 2016, under the theme “Taking Advantage of New Challenges”. There, the leaders of the industry in Latin America will review and discuss the evolution, trends and changes in the industry that affect their business model. Recent developments will be addressed concerning regulations and technology that influence the future of the business and value creation within the leasing and renting companies.
