Baystone Government Finance has promoted Karen Neathery to the position of Assistant Vice President, Account Manager. Neathery joined the company in 2021 and most recently served as Government Finance Account Manager in the Origination department.
She has over 20 years of experience in finance and banking relationships, and has been active professionally in the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA).
“Karen is a key member of our team here at Baystone Government Finance,” said Evan Howe, Executive Vice President. “In her expanded role, she will continue to develop strong relationships by supporting clients who seek to finance equipment in the municipal market.
“Karen has proven to be very skilled at finding ways to make deals work for state and local governments, tribal organizations, schools and non-profits," Howe added. Baystone is the lending division of KS StateBank that specializes in providing financing for governmental, not-for-profit and tribal organizations. It provides customized financing for cities, counties, school districts and other similar entities nationwide. Baystone funds a wide variety of equipment types and assets through tax-exempt municipal leases and other financing solutions.
Howe also recognized a significant milestone anniversary for David Burr, Vice President, Government Finance Business Development who recently marked his 10th year at Baystone. During this period, Burr has established a multitude of customized relationships where he works diligently to find financing solutions in the municipal market. His efforts have led to new programs and continued growth of the government finance portfolio for Baystone.
Burr has over 15 years of experience in finance and accounting. He is a member of the Association for Governmental Leasing and Finance (AGLF) and also has been active in the ELFA.
