DLL’s Tom Meredith on the Changing Vendor Finance Market

Tom Meredith, Chief Commercial Officer and Member of the Executive Board, DLL, provides his insights into the current state of the vendor finance market both domestically and globally. Meredith outlines his thoughts on the impact of supply chain issues on the vendor finance market as well as DLL’s initiatives to build effective “pay-per-use” products. Meredith also describes the importance of human touch in creating and maintaining strong customer relationships and DLL’s focus on One Face to the Customer.

Tom Meredith was appointed Chief Commercial Officer and a member of the Executive Board of DLL in January 2017. He is responsible for the company’s commercial strategy and global business activities in the eight key industry sectors it serves: Food, Agriculture, Office Technology, Construction, Transportation, Industrial, Healthcare and Clean Technology. Meredith joined DLL in 2010 as President of the Food and Agriculture Global Business Unit. Under his leadership, the business unit achieved year-over-year portfolio and profitability growth, expanded its footprint in Europe and entered the Asian market. With more than 35 years of experience in equipment finance, Meredith has held leadership positions with several of the industry’s top lenders. In 2002, he was named Executive Vice President and General Manager of CitiCapital’s Construction Equipment Finance business. When the company was acquired by GE Capital in 2008, Meredith continued to manage the Construction Equipment business and was instrumental in developing and executing a commercial strategy that aligned the strengths and philosophies of the two companies. He previously held senior management positions with Deutsche Financial Services and Chase Manhattan Leasing. Meredith graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
