AACFB lost one of its founding members and former board member, Jim Blizzard, on Dec. 31. He passed at his home in Goldsboro, NC, and is survived by his wife of 53 years Dickey Blizzard, daughter Jamey Howey and his granddaughter Madelyn Howey as well as several of his brothers and sisters.
Jim was a more than 50-year veteran of the commercial finance industry and was the owner of Piedmont Equipment Leasing, based in North Carolina. He cherished his role in founding the National Association of Equipment Leasing Brokers (NAELB), now the American Association of Commercial Financing Brokers (AACFB) and the association owes him a debt of gratitude for his dedication, vision, and unwavering support through the years.
A service to celebrate Jim will be held on Saturday, Jan. 8 in the chapel of Evergreen Funeral Home, 3888 US Highway 70 W, Goldsboro, NC. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. with the service following at 2:00 p.m.
