First American Equipment Finance opened its new doors at 211 High Point Drive in Victor, NY. The equipment finance company built its innovative new headquarters to accommodate growth and the evolving work environment. Since 1999, First American’s headquarters were located in Fairport, NY.
The company’s High Point headquarters is a modern, four-story building with a large glass entryway. First American will occupy a majority of the top three floors, or approximately 85,000 square feet of the 150,000-square-foot space. The office will be home to over 90 percent of the company’s 285 colleagues, with room to grow in the coming years.
The building sits atop one of the highest points in the Rochester, NY, area, overlooking Western New York’s beautiful rolling hills and fall foliage. Inside, the office is encompassed with floor-to-ceiling windows, unique collaboration spaces, over 20 virtual meeting studios and state-of-the-art conference rooms to accommodate hybrid work. The main feature of the building is its central hub staircase with honeycomb lighting and a plant wall spanning two floors. Colleagues are excited to take advantage of the outdoors in the new space, with a second-floor heated patio and walk-off access to hiking and cross-country ski trails. Other unique office features include private focus booths, a quiet library and several gathering spaces.
A colleague-led team, known as the HQ2 Team, was empowered to make the decisions for the new office. This cross-functional group spent almost two years soliciting colleague feedback, testing technology and working with vendors to design 211 High Point. The team focused on collaboration, flexibility and the future of work throughout the new space.
“The opening of our new headquarters is a culmination of 25 years of sustained growth, passionate colleagues and loyal clients” said CEO, Alan Sikora. “211 High Point is now a destination in Rochester, and I’m confident it will support us in attracting top talent to Western New York as we continue to grow in the years to come.”
The building is owned and operated by Rainaldi Brothers, the visionaries behind the mixed-use campus at High Point. First American also collaborated with Hanlon Architects, Genesee Construction Services, the Ontario County Industrial Development Agency and many local businesses to bring the building to life.
