Paperclip Publishing, an author-centric publisher based in Tempe, AZ, announced its latest initiative, Equipment Finance Cares. The first stop is Minneapolis, MN, on June 15 at Brick and Mortar from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. CST. Paperclip is planning a Northeast event in August and a Southwest event in November. The event will be headlined by Paperclip author, Lovern Gordon, who has been with Boston Financial & Equity Corporation since 1999. She will be discussing her domestic violence memoir, “The Legacy He Left Me.”

“As the country begins to open up, we wanted to provide a format for equipment finance professionals to get back to socially responsible in-person networking," said Brooke Eisenhart, CEO of Paperclip Publishing.

Equipment Finance Cares discussions will be moderated by Deb Reuben, founder of TomorrowZone, and Jesse Johnson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at JDR Solutions. The format will be two one-hour panel discussions with equipment finance professionals and will wrap up with a two-hour networking reception.

“Equipment Finance Cares provides an educational platform of thought leadership ideas from industry leaders and even more importantly, an opportunity to learn more about the Domestic Violence epidemic that is plaguing the world today,” said Eisenhart.

The first panel will be comprised of services providers, who will be discussing topics including: upholding employee morale while not being in the office and maintaining customer relationships without traveling. The second, a group of equipment finance organizations, including Brian Slipka with Honour Capitol and Nancy Robles from Eastern Funding, will discuss topics including  internal workforce development and how technology is impacting business pre, during and post pandemic.

“The Legacy He Left Me” will be released on June 1. The domestic violence memoir is written by first-time author Lovern Gordon. Her first publication shares her story of being a two-time domestic violence survivor.

“As a first-time author, being able to spread the message of DV awareness via this platform, has been rewarding on so many levels. For many years, I have been able to voice the message nationally via speaking engagements but to be able to flesh it out, word for word in this book to help others, is both a blessing and a gift,” Gordon said.

Paperclip thanked its growing list of sponsors including: Leasepath, Dedicated Commercial Recovery, TomorrowZone, Honour Capital, Bell Bank, Great American Insurance and JDR Solutions.
