Rouse: OLVs and FLVs on Rental Equipment Rise in September

September OLV index values for used equipment across the fourteen major rental category indices tracked by Rouse increased 0.6% from August values. For the six  months ending September 30th, 2013, average index values are up 2.0%. Nine out of fourteen category indices recorded one-month value increases ranging from 0.6% for Scissor Lift Aerial Work Platforms and Loader Backhoes to 3.3% for High Reach Forklifts.

September auction sales of rental & construction equipment tracked by Rouse averaged 1.6% higher than Rouse August FLV values. Rouse recorded 2,826 units that sold at 31 separate auction sales conducted across North America. The units represented a combined FLV (as of August 31st) of $81.7 million and generated $83.1 million of gross auction proceeds.
