Rouse: OLVs Rise Across Fourteen Major Rental Categories

August OLV index values for used equipment across the fourteen major rental category indices tracked by Rouse increased 0.3% from July values. For the six months ending August 31st, 2013, average index values are up 1.6%. Six out of fourteen category indices recorded one-month value increases ranging from 0.1% for Air Compressors and Warehouse/Industrial Forklifts to 2.4% for Articulating Boom Aerial Work Platforms.

August auction sales of rental & construction equipment tracked by Rouse averaged 2.9% lower than Rouse July FLV values. Rouse recorded 2,987 units that sold at 24 separate auction sales conducted across North America. The units represented a combined FLV (as of July 31st) of $77.7 million and generated $75.5 million of gross auction proceeds.
