MarketWatch reported that Caterpillar chief executive, Doug Oberhelam said the global economic outlook is more uncertain today than during late 2008, but stated the situation is not as severe, according to a report issued by The Financial Times on Sunday.
The Financial Times report quotes Oberhelman saying, "there's never been a more unpredictable set of tea leaves than right now." He also said, aside from Europe, the largest global economies don’t indicate they are going to contract, but whether they would experience significant growth was unclear, according to the Financial Times report.
