Bloomberg reported that Siemens has won $900 million of wind turbine orders from Puerto Rico to the U.S. and Canada since July. According to the report, Siemens will supply 293 turbines to six wind farms in the Americas.
The report quotes Felix Ferlemann, chief executive officer of Siemens’ wind turbine unit as saying the orders “show that our customers continue to invest in renewable energy sources.”
The article states that turbine makers have been suffering from slower demand growth, falling prices and narrowing margins as Chinese companies continue to capture market share.
